Kapstan's in-product observability provides developers with crucial insights into their deployments, enabling them to monitor and troubleshoot application issues through built-in system metrics and logs. We also offer out-of-the-box application performance management powered by Istio metrics for a comprehensive view of application health.
While we continue to invest in and expand the Kapstan monitoring suite, we acknowledge that our platform is not intended to replace full-fledged observability solutions. Some customers outgrow our built-in capabilities and choose to integrate external observability tools via public Helm charts. As an open Internal Developer Platform (IDP), we embrace these integrations and remain committed to streamlining agent installation and management for all observability providers.
